seed is usually just thrown or kept for planting purposes. But do you know that
the seeds help in fighting cancer? And aside from this, it has other health
benefits too.

CANCER FIGHTER
The seeds of the avocado has anti-tumor properties; especially the potent anti-oxidants flavonols. In a study conducted in 2013, it was found that the extract from both the fruit and seed of avocado can make leukemia cells to self-destruct.
It was also found that a compound in the seed extract of avocado which is called avocation B is effective in treating acute myeloid leukemia cells.
REDUCES WRINKLES
The oil in the avocado seed increases collagen in the skin thus reducing appearance of wrinkles. Its oil can also be used in treating acne breakouts.
GOOD FOR PEOPLE WITH HEART DISEASE
In a study conducted on mice in 2012 and published in the Plant Foods for Human Nutrition journal, it was found that avocado seed flour had reduced total cholesterol and LDL (Low-Density Lipoprotein) cholesterol levels. The researchers had also suggested that the seeds can also offer protection against plaque formation in the arteries.
The seeds can also help lower blood pressure and bad cholesterol levels. Aside from these, they can also fight inflammation and diabetes.

One of the best ways in preventing any kind of disease is to have a strong immune system. The seeds and skins of avocado have great levels of antioxidants which includes catehchins and procyandins. It was published in the Revista de Sociedade Brasileira de Medecina Tropical journal in 2009 that in an in-vitro study conducted by researchers, it was found out that the antibiotic and antifungal effects of the seed extracts can inhibit harmful pathogens like candida and also other fungi.

Eating the seeds can also help in digestion. In the past, South Americans used avocado seeds in treating acute diarrhea, dysentery (severe diarrhea) and other problems on digestion. The fiber and antioxidants in the avocado seeds have been proven beneficial for digestion problems.

*Slice around the pit to cleanly remove the seed then insert a knife into the pit; twist and gently pull.
*Remove the seed from the knife.
*Put the seed into a plastic bag then crush it with a blunt object like the hammer.
*You can combine the seed with your preferred smoothie ingredients like banana, dates or dark green leafy veggies.
*If you will be using -high-powered blender, there will be no need to smash the seed ahead; just add water.
